Checking in or Checking Out

CAA Product Help

Here is where a document is checked out -- and then checked in, when compete.

Checking out means a person get "assigned" to work with this document. And no one else can be assigned until the document is checked back in, with all the results filled in.

To check out, all you have to do is identify yourself as the person who is currently assigned to work with the document. You would enter your name, email, phone, etc. And maybe a few comments or notes. When the button labeled "Yes, I Will Check Out and Follow Up" is pressed, the document is listed on the People View as checked out with the name that was entered.

To check in the document means you're ready to fill in all the results and release the document so that someone else may follow-up, or try some other approach. After the Check-In link is pressed, you see a screen where you can fill in the results.

Some fields are optional, but it's a good idea to fill in as many fields as you can, so that other can have a good idea of what happened on your visit/meeting/phone call/email contact.
